Discover Dubai’s past by water, land and sky

First you’ll fly from the water into the sky and soar above the coast before taking in views of the shoreline and bustling ports aboard our luxury seaplane. You’ll be able to catch views of several Dubai icons before landing including the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Frame before landing on the waters of Dubai Creek. This is where you will begin retracing the history of seaplane flight in the Emirates.

In 1937, when the first seaplane landed in Dubai, the city had no electricity and no roads. Dubai has come a long way since. But its history dates back much further. Think 18th-century forts, traditional fishing boats, and souks filled with mystical charm.

Dubai Creek is the historic heart of the city and the natural focus of this Heritage Tour. You’ll be transported into the past as your expert guide shares old stories of the city and its people. As you wander the old neighbourhoods exploring exotic souks and museums, you’ll get a sense of the city as it was when it was a small fishing village on the banks of the creek.  You’ll take a traditional water crossing on an Abra ferry, retracing the path of travelers from days gone by.  Food is one of the most immersive and delicious ways to explore culture, and so your journey ends with a colourful Arabic meal in the historic Bastakiya district.

Dubai is a city that needs no introduction.  Famous for record breaking buildings, glitzy resorts, show-stopping events and a vibrant dining and nightlife scene – it has firmly cemented itself as the most popular destination in the Middle East.

The sky high glass towers add a pleasing contrast to the exotic souks and alleyways of the city’s historic centre. The traditional Abra boats crossing Dubai Creek have ferried travelers for decades, and will continue to carry many more for years to come.  It’s a place with its eyes on the future and heart in the past. Whether you wish to explore the expansive desert sands or soar high above the city in your own luxury seaplane – in Dubai you can do it all.

Shopping fans are spoiled for choice with several malls – including the largest in the world – alongside modern outdoor shopping experiences that offer a glamourous retail outing.   Adventure enthusiasts have kilometres of sparkling coast to explore, and there’s no limit to what you can do.  Soar on the world’s longest urban zipline, skydive over the Palm Jumeriah Island or make a splash at one of the city’s award-winning water parks.

While the city’s Arabic heritage reigns supreme, the city’s peaceful inhabitants are a melting pot of different cultures, giving the place a truly international feel.  On any given night you can attend a world-class concert or sporting event, and you’ll never know which celebrity you might see in town.

In Dubai they say anything is possible.
